For the past few years, I have owned a 360 and have loved it. About 2 months ago, I bought a Wii and hated it. I sold it on ebay for a large profit and bought a PS3 with the money.
The PS3 is the perfect system for me. It has an upconverting dvd player and plays my old PS2 disks perfectly. All this has got me to thinking about selling my 360 on ebay as well. I have nearly $400 dollars worth of extras to go with it and know it would sell at a great price. Plus, I could use the money for grad school (books etc.) in January.
I was also thinking that most of the games I am looking foward to are either sports games or coming out for the PS3, meaning I won't miss out on any upcoming 360 exclusives.
The only problem is I am someone attached to the system. I have taken absolute impeccable care of it and enjoyed playing it for the past 20 months or so. Should I sell the 360 or keep it? Honestly, I don't see it getting a whole lot more usage.

Thats funny, in my house it's the PS3 that is the paperweight. There are so many great games on the 360 now and coming out, I cannot imagine why you would sell your system.
If I were to rely on PS3 for my gaming fulfillment, I would have given up on Video Games by now. Makes a good Blu-ray player though.

I would suggest selling fable 2 separately. It is still 60$ brand new and bundled software never gets what it is worth. I'd start the bidding for it at 35$ and buy it now at around 45$. Go online to see what the other games are selling for. If they aren't going for at least 20$, sell them with the console. The 20 GB Xbox itself should start around 100$ regular auction (if it is in relatively new condition), but with the games (not including Fable 2) I'd put the starting bid at 130$. You will probably get around 175 for the whole thing. If you want to set a buy it now, I wouldnt do more than 180$. Make sure to be very descriptive about the condition of the items, particularly if there are scratches on the games. If you don't, you are asking for a credit card chargeback and a return. Also, shipping for the system may be around 10-15$, so keep that in mind. I am not sure what you meant abou the one month free card, but I assume you mean the XBOX Live Gold trial account? I would include it as an incentive, but don't charge for it. I could be wrong about all of this, but I've been selling on eBay for awhile. Before you take my advice, look at similar items on Ebay and see what they are going for, then make up your mind. Good luck!

No way, keep it. that way you can play the kick @$$ Xbox exclusive games. that's what I'm gonna do, I got the 360 for Halo and Fable. I'm saving up for the PS3 for Metal Gear Solid 4 and Final Fantasy right now.

Yeah, I think that you should sell it. The 360 is just a paper weight anyways and it's just a ticking time bomb before it goes Red Ring of Death on you again. Microsoft really screwed up with the 360, that's all I have to say.
There are plenty of people that will be willing to buy a Xbox 360, you probably could get about $200 dollars for it depending on the Model. Yeah, you could use the money to save up for future PS3 games or just spend it on whatever.

If you feel your never going to play it again go ahead and sell it. However, it will really suck when you want to play it, and realize that it's gone forever. I would hold on to it just incase, and once you become totally addicted to the ps3, then go ahead and sell it.

Keep it, if you love it so much. Of course, if you REALLY want to save money for college, then you should save and work as much as you can.
