I think this is just one of the places where people can vent their frustrations and still remain anonymous. Of course there are still a lot of happy marriages out there. I can say for myself that I'm in one. Maybe we're not rich, but we're blessed with 2 lovely kids and we're very much in love with each other. I know our relationship is not perfect either but is there really a perfect one? Nobody's perfect and you just have to live with that. When you accept your situation and just try your best to be happy for you and your family, I guess there will be less people writing here in Yahoo answers asking about their troubled relationships. Changes start with us!

It's human nature to complain about the things we don't like rather than share what we do like hence the amount of negativity toward marriage on Yahoo Answers. It seems to me that Answers is primarily used for people to ask for advice and how many of us need advice on how to deal with a happy marriage?
I'm sure there are tons of people that have a happy marriage, but more than likely they are the ones ANSWERING the questions...not asking them. As for my own relationship, we're not married (yet) but I can honestly say that I've never been this happy before.

I'm thinking that happy people don't ask questions about marriage. There are plenty of people in happy marriages here to try to help others.

ME! I have been married to my husband for 7 years! We have 3 beautiful children! We couldn't be happier! So many people don't want to work at marriage! Marriage is a full-time job! Both partner's have to give 100%! I'll be honest, it isn't always easy to be married! So many people don't know what real love is! They think love is simply a feeling! That's only a small percentage of love! I am HAPPILY MARRIED!

Believe it or not I was happily married for 18 years. Then my now X-wife (her choice). met someone else. I have been totally blindsided by this, and all she can say is she didn't mean to hurt me, and that it just happened. So yes I was happily married, guess loyalty, stability, and unending love just aren't for her. By the way she has also proven that our marriage was a lie to our three children. She didn't mean to hurt them either.

in today's time, 60% of marriages fail.and everyday the number goes up. If everyone would mind there own business maybe marriages can be saved, but you have theses men that i call players.that are not happy what they have. so they have to cheat.

[1] This is an answer/advice area. People don't come here unless they need an answer or advice, or want to share advice from their experiences.
[2] You mistakenly equate "perfection" and "lack of even the smallest issue" with "happiness." They aren't the same.

I am usually on here when I am at work.
The site I usually go on is down for the moment and I'm not sure when they will be back up.
We have our ups and downs, but overall we are very HAPPY together. 8 years, 27weeks pregnant with our second child.
