Buddy, all it takes is one stroke if you're lucky. Or, if you're unlucky, it could take years.

Good luck. Have fun trying.

Warning: I am not a medical professional.

The "typical" woman is fertile on the 14th - 18th days of the cycle, where day 1 is the day she starts menstruating.

For newlyweds, I would try to have intercourse on those days as a starting option. The male may wish to abstain for a few days prior to build up a fresh supply.

Keep in mind that most woman vary from "typical" cycle.

If this doesn't work after say 6 months, start tracking basal temperature.
Take the vaginal temperature every day, for a few months and track it on a graph.
You should see a jump in the graph around mid cycle. This happens just before ovulation. When you recognize the jump in future months, it's time to have intercourse.

The next step is to see a doctor and have both partners checked out. She may have a blocked ovary, or a poor diet. He may have a low sperm count or motility (swimming ability).

Most of these problems can be solved relatively inexpensively without surgery.

Every couple is different, and there are a lot of factors to consider. One factor that is consistent is that STRESS KILLS FERTILITY in both partners.

If you're newlyweds, just enjoy each other, and let things happen in God's time.

Take ten couples. Eight couples will be pregnant within a year. One will take two years and the last couple will need some help, like IVF etc. So if you are a regular couple within a year! I spent 18 years on the pill and fell pregnant in eights months, so no, as additional info, the length of time on the pill will not affect things. Hope that helps, good luck!

According to my doctors when I was trying to get pregnant (I needed help) the *average* couple takes about 5 months. (Of course, some will take less, some more.)

it totally depends on your health and hers, timing it right to have sex when she is ovulation, etc. there is no way to tell you how long. it takes some people years, some get pregnant the first try.

you could get pregnant after just one time of unprotected sex, and yes it depends on how healthy you both are, if you can even have kids, her ovulation cycle, etc. but basically it can happen any time that you aren't protected, and it can still happen if you are, because abstinence is the only 100% effective protection

It depends on her body and what time of the month you have sex.

it only takes you ejaculating into her once, without a condom and her not using birthcontrol. Thats why there are "honeymoon babies"

Congrats.
