Are there laws that safeguard from women who marry just for money? I realize that there can be a prenup and if there is a living will giving that particular woman the medical power of attorney, there may not be much that can be done... but is there ANYTHING that could be done?

There aren't any laws that directly address it, but some MEN and women (gold diggers come in both categories) have been prosecuted in scattered cases for fraud if the intent to steal the money was the motive for the marriage. Very few have been convicted, since there is usually evidence of sexual encounters, some degree of care taking, etc, that shows it was a marriage in a lot of ways.

Have the person you are concernd with record their wishes on Video with ONLY their atterny. No Wife or Family there. No friends. Noone but an unbiased Atterny or Laywer.

Have them record Videos for various situations and not allow anyone else to see or touch these,.. just their Atterny/Lawyer.

If those situations should arise then these Videos should be played to a select Audience,.. such as their Doctors.

There is nothing that SHOULD be done. If two people wish to marry, who are we to decide after the fact that the marriage was based on a lie simply because one of the partners receives a large inheritance?
