Excuse me but have you looked at my picture? If it was not for pickpockets I would have no sex life!

My resilience is a lot better than it once was. When I was a kid, I was so easy to break down that it was barely even fun. Now I'm the one making other people withstand my ribbing.

Absolutely. I dish enough ribbing out - I had better be able to take it. If you can't laugh at yourself you have too high an opinion of yourself.

Always.
You have to be able to laugh at yourself in order to have the right to laugh at others. Sorry laugh WITH others. hahaha
I have learned that the very best thing to diffuse a tense situation is to tell a self critical joke. It's safe and much harder to offend the listener.

It depends.
I mean, generally yes -- I do things that are just ridiculous whether pronuciating things wrong (to much reading not enough practice on words -- have you seen Trekkies, kind of like that kid) or have miraculous tumbles that seem only possible in a sketch comedy, spit out things in an awkward way etc.
But I don't find it funny when people try to ribb on peoples (myself or others) fundamental character differences or core beliefs. Sometimes that is just hurtful.
SO yes, I can totally laugh at my quirks

All my life I've been laughed at and denigrated by others so I had to learn how to get in there first and start laughing at me before they did. Seriously, I'm a sucker for all kinds of humour.
[Sky Witch] So you and Stephanie aren't best friends then?

always do....cannot let people laugh or have a joke on me first! Life it self is so great that to enable you to be positive....you need to look at yourself and see the funny side of things...I even get cross with myself for being so stupid at times!

I laugh at myself all of the time. The way I see it, if I can't laugh at myself then who can? It's the same as loving yourself.

yup. i have learned not to take everything so seriously. and people are gonna laugh if something funny happens or is said so you might as well join them. plus then it keeps you from feeling guilty when you are the one laughing at something funny about someone else.

I laugh at my self all the time. When someone is making fun it is OK as long as it does not cross the line.

I always laugh at myself, but if the people laughing with me don't have the same attitude when the shoe is on the other foot then - - we have NOTHING TO LAUGH ABOUT!! :)
