who has been through this, i have been through 3 RROD, i was thinking of getting an elite because i heard it won't get the RROD or you have better chances of not getting, so what are some really good ps3 games

Resistance , great online , Call of duty 4 great offline, Uncharted drakes fortune 26 gig FPS game, is awesome especially if you like gears of war. Uncharted is like gears without the clumsy physics and chunky appearence. Ratchet and clank FTOD (23gig games )for a fun colorful adventure.
Lair, heavenly sword, and definately get Warhawk!
Haze coming out in January is supposed to be huge.

It's about time you've decided to ditch the Xbox 360. I don't know why 360 owners put up with the Red Ring of Death just to play Halo 3. Haze and Killzone 2 is going to destroy Halo 3.
I've had my PS3 for almost a year and I haven't had no problems at all. Go for the PS3. The PS3's big exclusives are coming next year and the PS3 has a hardware failure rate of less than 1%, so you can focus more on gaming than your console crashing.

Great decision finally getting rid of the Red Ring of Death Box 360. On the PS3 some of the same games that are enjoyed on the 360 on the PS3, like GRAW2, Rainbow 6: Vegas, couple of others depending on your likes and preferences of games, COD4, Warhawk (awesome online only game), Uncharted: Drake's Fortune (awesome single player game), Ratchet & Clank, Haze and Killzone2 are coming, along with MGS4, Assassin's Creed, Unreal Tournament 3 (PS3 console exclusive).
Don't forget about Guitar Hero 3, and Rock Band. Also don't forget about Oblivion, Stranglehold, Eye of Judgment, and Time Crysis 4. Those should get you started.

It's really up to you..
I've had two 360's. One premium for over a year, no problems.
I also have an elite for 6 months. No problems.
Not sure what people are doing complaining about.
I'd played a demo of Haze at PAX2007, it was okay. Decent, but defintely no Halo "killer"

Folklore has some pretty good reviews.
Lair should be fun from what I've heard.
Motorstorm is a lot of fun. Like Excitebike with explosions.
Armored Core 4 looks fun.
