Life is much simpler when one minds one's own business. Tolerance has little to do with it, in my humble opinion.

I call them out. I've said nicely, "Wow! Do you realize you complain a LOT?? You're bringing me (or everybody) down! Please...can you TRY to be a little more positive, because I can't TAKE it!" It doesn't always work for the chronic ones, but it certainly makes them aware of it.

Im tolerant to a degree. Sometimes people complain because they need something ....attention, affection, whatever. But it does get annoying after a while. I really don't say anything, though, I just let it die.

Depends what they are complaining about. If I agree, I'll usually let it go. If not, I may say something. More often than not I will just ask the person to find something positive to talk about.

yes i am tolerant of chronic complainers, well, the ones I know because frankly, when I need to rant and moan and just whine, they let me whine and moan and rant and complain right at them so it does us both good, I guess.

I tolerate complaining but that doesn't mean I have to listen to it.

I don't call them out on it, but I do always say that if you are unhappy with something then you should do something about it instead of complaining.

i am one myself, so, im like wow, someone else who complains lots. i am tolerant of complainers. but some are just plain irksome.

I call them on it. Especially those that complain about stupid crap like "Why do they make this thing, it's so dumb?" How about this, people?: DON'T BUY IT, IF YOU DON"T LIKE IT!
