Does anyone know what NFL team is the most popular and admired in America? In other words which NFL team is "Americas Team"?
There must be somewhere on the internet that someone (NFL) has taken a poll among Americans to find this out?

I am going to go out on a limb and say Miami,....This year...
They have gone out every week and played 110%...

I don't know if there is an America's team. I think it breaks down to various groups
1. For the knowledgeable football elitists, and an increasing group of bandwagoners, I think its the Pats. The knowledgeable fans can see the talent and know that winning is about execution, not video tape. The self righteous and the Colts fans hate them tough.
2. For the 'greatest show on earth" types, it's probably Dallas. Tony and TO are a great show. Lots of folks hate the 'Boys too.
3. For the knowledgeable blue collar types, it's the Steelers; tough line play and good work ethic to go with their Iron City beer. Only Cleveland hates the Steelers.
4. for the bible belt and the hayseeds, it's probably the Colts and their role model Peyton Manning. Only the Pats fans hate the Colts.
Overall I think right now the bandwagoners outnumber the haters, so I would say the Pats are most popular

2 popular teams: cowboys and patriots. But because patriots are arrogant, cowboys are the most popular team. There is no admired team even though it would have to be either of the 2.

in America it changes every year to who is the Best, yes Cowboys are the American team, but worldwide there are Two teams know to every country and that would be the Raiders and the Cowboys. The #1 and #2 Football merchandise sold in the world. So to your question, The Cowboys are the American Team. about the polls you find a different one every year and wich websites host it.

Funny people say the patriot's because of their name. It certainly isn't because of the team huh? LOL. Everybody could answer this differently, but it's normally answered either the Cowboys, Packers, or Steelers

The reason they’re called America’s Team derived from a tongue in cheek reply made by Tex Schramm, the then GM for the Cowboys. He was asked why they built Tex. Stadium with a hole in the roof. He replied, “So God can watch his team play”.

Used to be theCowboys obviously, then it was the Patriots but now they've been too good for too long and people hate them now. I'd have to say the Colts are the closest thing to it.

I'll tell you this, its NOT the Pats, the Pats disgust me so much they make me like the Cowboys and Raiders (two of the most hated teams in the league).
