They were looking for my GF because she put my address as hers. They left an envelope with my roommate sayin its important for her to call immediately. Me and my girlfriend are both at work and are nervous. What could it be for??

Mabye they just want to check up on her and see how she is doing. It can be very traumatic for alot of woman.

Not sure what the health department would have to do with anything. Were they involved with the abortion?
Did they do bloodwork to check for STDs when the abortion was performed? Maybe something came back.
Maybe they are checking up, although I doubt they have the staff/time to check every woman that has an abortion.
She just needs to call.

I'm thinking that the abortion clinic you went to was not following all the legal requirements for a health care facility. Or it could be something else, but this popped up into my head because one of the clinics near me is getting shut down because it was not following all the necessary laws. Hopefully it's not a complication or anything.

Depending on her age (21 or under) some states do mandatory STD testing. It could be the results of those tests.

Could be she has an STD or HIV and the need to notify her right away.
