Everyone always hates the team in first. The Patriots. The Buckeyes. The Red Sox.
People can't stand to lose to #1. Maybe it's because the number 1 team is usually the loudest too. I think it's a mixture of both. Just scroll down the front page of the football section here. It's pretty easy to see who the most hated teams are.

The Patriots are the most hated football team...I know this because I'm a huge fan. Born and raised just outstide of Boston Mass. People hate teams that they respect. I hate the Yankees, why? Because they suck? No, because they are always really good.
Why do people hate the Patriots? Because they are the best team in the NFL. All you people talking about how they cheat, run up the score, etc...are just really showing us how little you know about the game.
Think about it. If your winning the game by a fair margin, and you have 4th and short in field goal range...what is a guaranteed way to score points?? Go for it?? No...kicking the field goal will give you points. Going for it on 4th down gives the other team a chance to stop them and take the ball. The Pats are doing teams a favor by going for it on 4th, the other team is just doing a bad job of stopping them.

Depends on who you ask. I don't "hate" any team but I like the Cowboys the least, even though I do like Romo.
Actually, I'm going to change my mind. I rarely read about a Cowboys fan who dislikes the Vikings so I'm going to choose a new team to dislike and that's the Packers. A lot of Packer Viking haters around.

Fans of failures cannot stand undefeated sucess story teams like those two, and they will endlessly bash them to make up for their teams loses.

For me, it's the Patriots. I don't think they deserve all the attention they're getting right now. Their season has been one of cheating, playing an easy schedule, and playing teams that are missing key players. I hope they go down in the playoffs!!!

right now it is NE - but those are bandwagon haters. The all-time most hated team is coincidentally the biggest bandwagon team of all time - Dallas Cowboys.
