OK, I'm now in a mood as i have dropped my laptop resulting in....

I have broke the screen as it wont stand up, the actual screen is fine and still works but it just wont stand up with out flopping down again!

Also i have ripped 2 buttons off, but they are non-repairable as i have snapped the little clips they go on to!

I know i can fix the buttons by taking it to a p.c shop! But does any of you know if my screen if beyond reparing? It seems to be that something has snapped causing it not to stand up....

Maaaaan why do i have to be so clumsy!

If so peeps, do u have an idea of the cost aswell?

Without being able to see the laptop, I can not guess whether you only damaged a hinge that might be replaceable, ir whether the hinge in part of the actual display, meaning the whole display part of the laptop has to be replaced. At worst, if it is the whole display, expect about $250-300 for the part plus a couple hours labor.

(If money is tight, consider a metal bookend from a Dollar Store, Place the base under tha laptop and lean the screen back against it. Did for for a couple years with an older laptop I had.)

The keyboard usually runs in the $40-90 range (depending on model). Plus the labor.

(If money is right, consider a $10 external keyboard for when you are at your desk)

But I can only guesstimate without having the unit it actually look at.

Duct tape = 3 bucks

Put a stack of books behind the screen to lean it up against = free

Metal brackets = 2 bucks

Keys tend tomean a new laptop keyboard.
The screen is probably the hinges, if you are lucky it simply needs new casing for the screen, but best bet it to let manufacturers repair centre look at it.
Give them a call, they'll be best placed to advise you

I do think they can repair the screen, but it probably will cost yeah. Don't know how much. If the computer is still under warranty, you should be okay, depending on the plane you paid for.

Can`t you look for the spare part on the internet?
