Take those messages to the authorities. There are a number of things here that can be done.

Dishonorable discharge should be the least of the things that happen to someone that threatens someone else without a reason.

While a dishonorable discharge may be what you want, it's not likely to happen in this case. Making threats against another person (not necessarily in the Armed Forces) is a crime punishable in both military and civilian courts. Your first course of action should be to file a complaint against him at your local police station. Make a copy of the threatening calls (I'm assuming you have a recording) and provide that to the authorities as well.
You can also file a restraining order against the individual (applies to physical as well as contact restraint). Those would me my first steps.

Just more evidence of what kind of people US soldiers really are. These are not the brave heroes the media would have you belive. They are cowardly and cold blooded. Throw the book at this guy. File a criminal complaint, sue him into bankrupcy, sue the Military for turning him into the monster he is.
