I also noticed that the Pats didn't have the #21 on their helmets and wanted to chalk that up to typical Bill Belichick but, despite my dislike for the Patriots, I must be fair... Neither the Colts nor the Ravens sported the #21 in their SNF game. I believe that, after very strong encouragement from the NFL for all players to honor Sean Taylor in the week after his death, it is now optional whether or not to have the #21 decal on their helmets.

the Patriots are NOT the only team not wearing the number 21.... they seem however to be the only team, others have issues with for not wearing the number.... the week following Taylor's death they wore the number.. the week after the Patriots and 5 other teams did not... the Patriots wear the number 91 in honor of Marquise Hill who died while trying to save the life of a young woman in a jet ski accident. I don't see you or anyone else making issues of no one wearing that number? YOU need to check your facts before making yourself look foolish and ignorant.

Hey, I didn't see anyone else wearing Marquis Hill's # (Patriot line man who died in a boating accident in the offseason). Nobody was honoring him? Why is that? Is that a political statement against the patriots by every other team in the league?
I'm sorry, there ARE a couple of teams that are wearing his number on their helmet, but not many.
Do you have NOTHING better to think about?

I THINK THE PATRIOTS WENT BACK TO THEIR UNIFORM THE MEMORIAL WAS SET FOR SEAN TAYLOR LAST WEEK AND ALL TEAMS WORE THE NUMBER 21 INCLUDING THE PATRIOTS THE MEMORIAL IS OVER AND THE PATS WERE IN UNIFORM FOR THEIR TEAM THE REDSKINS ARE NOT A PART OF THEIR TEAM OR EVEN IN THE SAME DIVISION. HONORING SEAN TAYLOR WAS A WONDERFUL WAY TO SHOW SUPPORT FOR HIS FAMILY BUT IT IS TIME TO GET OVER SEAN TAYLORS DEATH AND MOVE FORWARD TO PLAYING THE GAME. BESIDES WEARING THAT NUMBER 21 THREW ALOT OF PLAYERS OFF BALANCE WITH THE ADDED WEIGHT TO THEIR HELMETS.

They wore it last week to show their support for the Redskins and Taylor. The Patriots lost a teammate before the season started and wear is 91 on their helmets, so I am sure they went back to soley remembering him, since he is their teammate. Plus, you obviously did not watch other games, because there were definitely other teams who did not wear that number. I love all the thumbs down on fans who explain about Marquise Hill. You people are so pathetic and hateful. Get a freakn life. Stop your hating and sad jealousy.

I think one week for Taylor is fine. I like the idea of them wearing 91 for Hill all season
Think Atlanta will wear anything for Vick? maybe black and white to match his jumpsuit?

The Pats wore the number vs the Ravens, but they are wearing the number of a teammate who died at the beginning of the season instead.

Because they are not required to wear it...they were only required to wear it last week because of the memorial.
Also, the Patriots also lost someone before the season began. I don't see other teams wearing #91...Marquise Hill.

i think you hate the patriots and are looking for a reason to hate them even more. i dont remember a single team in the league wearing the number 91 for their teammate that died trying to save another human being during the offseason.
