While walking through the Northern California woods a man came up to another man hugging a tree with his ear firmly against the tree. Seeing this he inquired, "Just out of curiosity, what the heck are you doing?"

"I'm listening to the music of the tree," the other man replied.

"You gotta be kiddin' me."

"No, would you like to give it a try?"

Understandably curious, the man says,
"Well, OK..."

So he wrapped his arms around the tree and pressed his ear up against it. With this the other guy slapped a pair of handcuffs on him, took his wallet, jewelry, car keys, then stripped him naked and left.

Two hours later another nature lover strolled by, saw this guy handcuffed to the tree stark naked, and asked, "What the hell happened to you?" He told the guy the whole story about how he got there.

When he finished telling his story, the other guy shook his head in sympathy, walked around behind him, kissed him behind the ear and said, "This just isn't gonna be your day."

Sure it wasn't my Ex husband. He had this weird thing about trees and hugging them. That's ok, he was that weird, it probably would have made his day. Notice I said EX, don't look at me!!!! i HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH IT.
Now I will probably get a violation for this, but true is true, I'm sorry but I just do not lie. Maybe why it struck a cord, as we live in California, at least I do, not quite sure where he is now

Yes I have been there. I was really disappointed in how trashy the area is where all the stars are on the sidewalk. Really junky shops and a lot of homeless people it was quite sad. Rodeo Drive was pretty cool to drive through. But plan on spending a lot of time going places the traffic is horrific more so then you can imagine.

This conjures images in my mind that I would rather not have. Sounds more like a story from ''Deliverance''

"Momma said they'd be days like this, they'd be days like this momma said" (just a California song) -- that's funny (but in today's world, the punch line could be "let me make your day").
