Fair enough. Just like all dogs in the pound he should be nuetered first. Then we can find him a new home when he gets out.

it would appear that the sentencing was light, however, if you look at other past offenders you'll find that the sentencing for illegal dogfighting is not as harsh as you would imagine...
23 months would be the norm.
I think it's too light in general, but not that it only applied to Vick.

Since he is a public figure, I think he needs to be held to a higher standard. Dog fighting is deplorable and those who fund and profit from horrible abuse of dogs, deserve the maximum allowed by the law. I know he lost a lot but then he broke the law and certainly anyone that sees the horror inflicted on dogs by him, must agree that he needed the max. There was proof that he electrocuted, drowned and simple just beat dogs to death. What kind of person does that and then wants to profit from it? Many dogs are stolen, although not proven with Vicks, to use a bait for the fighting dogs. People's pets are torn to shreds to bait them to fight. Losing or dogs not ferocious enough are killed. Females are staked out so that they can't get away and are repeated attacked by male dogs. It is brutal. He deserved more.
And Vick's needs to be locked away for extreme stupidity. How many people do we know would love to make it in pro ball and be making millions? Vick's threw it all away.
The public needs to hold these people that get lucky and make it and get to make tons of $ and be in the public eye to a high standard. They need to give back to the community and be idols for children, not law breakers and drug users and worse. And the press that exploits these criminals is just as bad.

It was too light from my perspective. But he loss of his sponsorships and the fact that he is an untouchable professionally offsets some of the fact that I feel the sentence is too light. And of course we still have the state of VA waiting in the wings to cook his goose, too. That'll help me feel better.

confident, 23 months is long adequate. as properly how long do you advise he ought to are starting to be? the girl who killed her preacher husband particularly have been given 3 months in custody, i think she ought to have have been given greater, i'm a human lover. *Edit: ebola_patient_zero, what the heck are you talking approximately? via my "logic" in case you killed somebody intentionally you ought to circulate to penal complex, purely like the girl who killed her husband intentionally to hold mutually coverage funds. when I reported the case of the girl, i replaced into purely showing the inconsistency of the judaical gadget. as a approaches by way of fact the OJ case, it replaced into the prosection's fault and that numnut detective attempting to plant information that tousled their case. Get your innovations mutually earlier you call somebody out bro!*
