Although I am not religious at all, obviously, Jesus Christ was who Christmas was named for. Our country was founded on Judeo-Christian beliefs and principles. If schools or any other entity have Christmas celebrations, they should understand that Christ goes with Christmas, and therein lies the problem. Political correctness and sensitivity have gone way too far in this country. Everyone is offended by something and people are always walking on eggshells out of fear. Our country has lost sight of what's really important and is headed toward demise because of it. We need to focus on the values that made our country great and not on who we're worried about offending.

The point is, in public schools there is often a mix of different faiths. While growing up, there was a JW kid in the class above me that always had to come into our class and read during a party in his room.
While I have nothing against Christmas celebrations in public schools, it needs to be sensitive to all the students attending.

I think those cases are caused in districts where the people are:
1.) Really dumb and have nothing else to do.
2.) Using religion to bash people with.
In my school (public, gasp!) we had many religious plays: The Creation of the World and Agnas of God, for example. No this wasn't a extremely religious school either. Everyone was fine because it was portrayed with tact and respect. :)

Im my opinion, anyone can celebrate any religious holiday they want. However, if they want eternal salvation, they should be celebrating Christmas, the celebrated birthday of the one guy in the world who can give them eternal life.

who stopped you from celebrating Christmas? Don't be paranoid. You're free to celebrate and do it in the right spirit. Don't use it to fight stupid causes.

Who is stopping you from doing what? I don’t care what anyone else wants to believe as long as they don’t try to force me to agree.
