I disagree, because the definitions of words like "good" are subjective. What one person considers good may be bad for someone else, and if something bad happens to one person, another may benefit from it, meaning it could be considered "good". But this does not mean that anyone is guaranteed to benefit from the misfortune of others, nor does it mean that altruistic acts carry some punishment.

I don't agree since it's absolutely impossible to prove, and therefore completely useless as a theory. Also, this kind of question more properly belongs in the R&S or Philosophy section, since Science is not concerned with the concepts of good or evil.

You are right that this is in the wrong section, but I blame YOU and not YAHOO. It is clear this question belongs in the environment section and you could easily have put it there.

Why do you think good and bad have to balance out?

What is good?
What is bad?

These are not scientifically quantifiable things

This question should be in philosophy or astroLOGy, not science and maths!

good and bad are only subjective words. so the effect could not be quantified.
