umm no.
I think he has been the complete opposite during this entire ordeal.
As for some of the responses :
Jerry Jones is BY FAR the best business man in the NFL and far from an idiot. Robert Kraft is another extremely bright owner. I have a deep hatred for the Cowboys but to not see that Jones is a fantastic owner is ridiculously short sighted. He ensures his teasm maximizes profits then gives a large majority of those profits to charities and back to Cowboys fans. Read up on the man a little bit before you criticize him. As for Al Davis , perhaps he has seen better days but for all he has done for the AFL/NFL I have a hard time thinking of him as anything but a visionary, but far from an idiot. I am a Bucs fan and I like our owners . The Glazers have done a great job enhancing the product while keeping profits high. Now the previous owner (the late Hugh Culverhouse) , you could call him an idiot with no arguments.

No, I think Jerry Jones is the biggest idiot in the NFL with Al Davis a close second & Arthur Blank a distant third.

As far as owners, I think Al Davis wins that one...and probably the Dolphins owner a close second...Probably can't count the Ford family as complete idiots anymore, since the Lions were competitive through 8 games...Unfortunately, they've lost 5 in a row and will likely miss the playoffs...

No, he's not. And since you so "kindly" called me dumb, ignorant, and a cry-baby when you replied to the last question I asked, allow me to respond in turn, and I'm doing it on here since you do not accept i.m.'s or e-mails.
First, you obviously did not understand the context of my statements, because you brought Urban Meyer into your reply. Did Urban Meyer go to the NFL, lie to everyone about his intentions, then leave a year or 2 later like Petrino or Saban? No, he didn't. So it's pointless to even bring him or any other coach who hasn't done that into the argument, because if you had any understanding of context, you'd know I was referring to coaches who go to the NFL, lie to the organization about wanting to be there, and then take off like a bat out of hell without giving it a fair chance to turn things around.
Second, coaches being fired was not the subject of my discussion, and it's a weak argument at best because most college coaches are given at least a few years before schools even talk about showing them the door. Tyrone Willingham was let go a bit too early by Notre Dame, but that's another conversation for another day.
Third, you talk about how you were "shocked and saddened" about Steve Spurrier leaving the University of Florida, and you're calling me a cry-baby? That's laughable, considering that he was there for 12 YEARS and earned both himself and the school a bunch of accolades. It's humorous that you would even try to compare him leaving Florida to Petrino leaving the Falcons. It's comparing apples and oranges.
Fourth, you call me dumb because I said the Vick situation didn't matter. Again, you obviously have a problem understand context. Like I said before, there's no way Petrino could have predicted the Vick situation, but there's 2 reasons it should have had no bearing on him staying with the Falcons.
The first one I already told you, "you don't bail after a year". He signed the contract, no one forced him to. The second reason, and you should know this if you're such a die-hard Falcons fan, is that even BEFORE he knew about what Vick had supposedly done, he was STILL contemplating getting rid of Vick and getting another quarterback in there. It was in EVERY form of sports television media in the COUNTRY last year, so NO ONE can use the Vick situation as an excuse for why he left like a thief in the night, not even you, almighty "long-time Falcons fan".
As for you not needing or wanting my sympathy, it was never intended for you. It was intended for level-headed Falcons fans, Dolphins fans, and NFL fans in general who actually UNDERSTOOD that what both Saban and Petrino did was insulting, disrespectful, and classless, much like the dialogue you used when you responded to my question.
As for me "not knowing the truth if it fell on me like a ton of bricks", I think I've pretty much illustrated that I understand even more about your own team than you do. For someone who didn't even know that Petrino was considering cleaning house and starting over with a new qb even BEFORE Vick was ever accused of anything, that doesn't say much for your knowledge of what's going on with the Falcons. You should try turning on ESPN or another sports channel, or even the radio. You might pick up a thing or 2.
And as for me being a cry-baby, that's particularly funny coming from someone who cries in his reply to me about Spurrier leaving Florida and Ron Zook getting hired. Kind of hypocritical, don't you think? And again, you obviously have no concept of context when you read things, or you would have already understood all of the things I pointed out in my ORIGINAL post. So before you go around calling people ignorant, dumb, or cry-baby again, perhaps a better self-examination is in order. Then maybe you'll realize you're not QUITE as omniscient or MANLY as you THINK you are.

No. He may have been a little naive for putting so much faith in Vick, but it happens. I know I've trusted people I shouldn't have.
