The rushing defense is weak and the rushing offense is nonexistent. These will be huge problems in weather games where the passing game is taken away. I think the Patriots should hope for a warm, calm, dry January.
As for the NFC, it doesn't look good. The Giant game is basically meaningless so the game to consider is the Super Bowl. It is indoors in Arizona. The Patriots are a team built to win in Indianapolis with a very fast deep passing game. It is very unlikely that any NFC team would beat them in that environment.
Most AFC playoff teams can beat them in bad weather in Foxboro. In good conditions, they will be very hard to beat and it will take a team like the Colts or possibly the Cowboys who can compete in track-meet games.

Yeah, their run defense. The injury to Roosivelt Colvin is a lot bigger than people think. Teddy Bruschi, Junior Seau, and Mike Vrabel (while very good players) are all pretty far up there in the age factor and aren't what they used to be. Colvin going down is forcing Seau to pretty much become a full time starter which was not the plan for him and that is wearing on him pretty thick. Adalius Thomas is still kind of young but even he cant do it all on his own, he needs the help of his fellow linebackers. The game against Baltimore was their first without Colvin and McGahee ran all over that defense. That is how you defeat the Patriots, you rush Brady like crazy and play rough with Moss and Welker, then you utilize your running game to keep their offense off the field and you run the ball down their throat. Though eventually Brady is going to beat the blitz and pass all over you so I'd say it's going to take a stiff cover 2 with a couple quarterback spys to help out whoever is covering Welker over the middle.

Their secondary can be exploited with multiple good WR's and good TE's, but the fact is no one they are going to face will have that combo. I'd say the Giants have the best bet, but with Eli, I'll say most likely not.
Nobody can stop their offense w/o pressuring Brady, then when they get the lead, the Pats D-line just pins their ears back and creates havoc on the QB.

I don't want to think it could happen, (I hate Shula and the Dolphins!!!!) would like to see them go 19-0 but if any team would....it will happen possibly in the playoffs, not in regular season....beating a team twice in the same year of the caliber of the Steelers and Colts is hard to do, even if they do go 18-0 and got to the Superbowl they could possible play the Cowboys again....Preparing for teams is tough enough in the regular season, but twice in the playoffs anything can happen, just look at last year with the colts!!!

Rushing Defense (Willie Parker had over 100 yards) and Rushing Offense...but they are so good passing, that they just throw screens and button hooks to Wes Welker in place of the running game...and the defense is good at adjusting in the second half...Despite Parker, they still crushed the Steelers...So, when all is said and done, the Pats are unbeatable...

I'm not sold on their kickers. Punting and field goals have been very poor the few times they have been needed this year and a few of the missed FGs could have cost them the game. With games getting tighter in the end of the season and in post-season I think it could be a factor.

Their overall defense. They can be scored on.
Peyton Manning, Tony Romo, Brett Favre on a hot day could light their defense up.
