Hip hop hasn't been destroyed, it's just taken a few hits.

Crunk is it's own style. It didn't destroy Hip Hop, it destroyed the teenagers listening to it. I hate the whole Crunk style, the cloth, the music and especially the cars. The real Hip Hop is still out there, but not as much on the radio.

It's all about the Old School West Coast style to me.

Hip Hop destroyed itself. It was something that could've been a positive influence but went off in the opposite direction. The time where people use to use Hip-Hop as a form of musical expression is pretty much done. When something is built on disrespect; anger, calling females bitches/ho's, throwing the word ***** around like nobody was ever affected by it whereas people have died over the word, it was destined to become garbage. What do you expect, with each generation it just will get more blunt and distasteful.

Naw, like the other girl said, it just made Hip-hop evolve. Beats and sounds of music changes every year. The song Yeah! by Usher was the hugest hit and it was crunk music, Ciara, and other people made crunk music really household. Lil Jon helped out alot of people with his different sound. Nas, Ice Cube, Jadakiss, Busta, Krayzie Bone, three6, Snoop alot people showed him love and I never heard anyone complain about them making songs with him. Why, because they were all hot!

No. I think it added to the growth of hip hop. Every music genre has to evolve, and crunk is just part of the hip-hops evolution.

The only thing I think that is destroying hip-hop is these weak @zz rappers - well I call them pretenders. They are making a lot of people lose faith in the genre.

I was blessed to have being born when there were REAL rappers/hip-hop artists, and it shames me to see that rap is deteriorating.
