convert the car to a LS1, then your aftermarket parts selection becomes unlimited. six speed or auto, your choice

my friend dropped a corvette engine in his 1995... I think, but it was fast as hell after that.

I think the LS1 is the way to go, although a 350 crate with iron heads would be about half the price and still give you up to 450 hp when it comes. Mounting these is going to be very difficult and you may need to cut into your firewall. You'll deffinately need a new transmission and don't forget that you'll need new alternator, water pump, power steering pump... maybe, radiator, radiator fan, ignition system... etc... it's basically building the car over, you can't use any of the engine parts you have now, except maybe some of the wiring, oh yeah, you'll probably need to get a new computer for it as well. The parts you have are too small for a 350 or ls1 and they won't fit the mounts. I just hope you realize the ammount of money and work this is going to take. It will be awesome if you do it tho, good luck.

if it was me I would replace the motor with a new high output V-6 and build it up first, new injectors, racing pistons, bore it out maybe. Then super charge the thing or if you don't mind rice twin turbo the thing (wouldn't be my choice). You may be able to use many of the same secondary engine parts you have now and it wouldn't require much modification. Not to mention you'll end up with more horsepower than the v-8's can give you unless you do all this to them as well. A new tranny is still recommended for this, and please for god sakes make it a manual.

Stop messing with small blocks buy the Chevy 572 and waste all LS motors on the road yes it is a difficult swap and yes it is expensive, but there is no replacement for displacement.

get the ls1 engine, and before u start drivin it again check the sheetmetal between the cabin and the trunk cause there is a wire back there that can short out and make ur car into a smokin POS, i had it happen 2 me

Yes I agree.
These work nicely with a small block V8.
Unlimited parts available.
