Michael Vick gets sentenced to 23 months for abusing and killing innocent animals, and this is too much time, yet they don't want soldiers who rape and murder little Iraqi girls to even go to trial?

So much for the sanctity of human life...

Um... first answerer... when I say "innocent," I'm not talking about Michael Vick. You didn't answer my question.

Susi: You're right. The soldier is wearing our flag. What he did is FAR worse. Yet cons don't want him to be prosecuted.

No they want to limit a woman's right to choose, make sexual desires something to be ashamed of and turn America back into a past that never was, think the Waltons.

If they wanted to really protect innocence they wouldn't be against poor children getting health care welfare or any form of help and they wouldn't be so eager to go to war all the time. People in the middle east aren't all terrorist but often you hear conservatives say things like let's nuke Iran or make the middle east into a parking lot. There are innocent babies there too but they somehow don't count;

It's about controlling adult women's life, nothing to do with protecting the innocent

First of all know this. All governments are for the rich to get richer. The government protects who it wants to protect and slams the remaining. Conservatives and Liberals both. Don't think for a moment that this is just a Conservative problem.

Bill Clinton and Monica Lewinsky got off the hook after they had there little " tryst " in the White House. Bill was a Liberal at the time and I suspect that he still is.

You and I do not know all the circumstances surrounding the rape and murder... " alleged "... to have happened in Iraq. And we most likely never will. But remember there is always two side to the coin. One cannot make an intelligent judgment until all the facts are presented?

The comparison of the Michael Vick case to the rape and murder of girls in Iraq is mis-placed as far as good comparisons are concerned. In my op-ion a much better comparison is the ( possible innocent ) detained in Cuba for the past 5 years with little or no hope of getting out. By the same Conservatives you mention in your question.

Now you have two comparisons...Iraq and a U.S. prison in Cuba. The sanctity of human life anymore is meaningless.

For example.

Where were the Conservatives helping preserve human life in:
Dar fur, Rwanda, South Africa, and the list goes on and on.
Governments are under the rule of Satan. This is Satan's governmental system. The earth was created without borders and governments. Until manking comes to the realization that we are all brothers and sisters under one True God who is about ready to take back His creation then you will have to deal with Satan's World Governments.

WELL if liberals REALLY wanted to protect the innocent they wouldn't let things escalate to the point where war happens. How can I say this? It's easy. When war starts it's always the innocent that suffer the most.

And you should be very thankful the Taliban isn't running where you live. Just your icon would be enough to get you beheaded.

And would you like to post some particulars about the soldiers who are doing the raping and killing of little girls? You had better watch out. From your picture you don't look too big and you look like you could have some Iraqi stock in you. One of these days the soldiers will come home.

Show me a conservative that does not want a soldier who has been convicted of raping and murdering a girl of any race to go to jail.

If you are saying someone was accused and they didn't have enough evidence to take the person(s) to trial, then perhaps you are misinformed about the case.

the only time jesus ever suggested marriage is while he stumbled on the girl drowsing with numerous adult adult males. He did no longer say the rest on the concern. Hitman - we've better than 2 events... we in basic terms have 2 interior the media. Dem, Repub, Libertarian, self reliant, Constitutionalist... there is even a Christian Baptist celebration, in spite of the undeniable fact that it does not have many human beings in it. this is even smaller than self reliant. yet considering that our media in basic terms shows the two favorites, it sounds like we dont' have any others. i actually want human beings might end putting lots believe interior the media.

Well. I am glad we have you as our spokesperson because I could have sworn that Vick does not concern me in the least and anyone that commits rape should be imprisoned for life if found guilty.

As for killing little Iraqi girls,, I have a friend that was forced to kill one because her father had sent her to connect an IED that would have killed a truck load of American soldiers.

I don't find this to be a casual thing to throw around compared to a guy that fights dogs. An enemy that sends children to kill is despicable the soldier that does what he must usually suffers for it for life each time he goes to sleep.
Wonderful principles you have.

Give an exemple,an actual news story of U.S. soldiers who were accused of rape or murdered who have not been prosecuted. If you can't then don't ask such a stupid question. I could tell you that zoo keepers beat Kangaroos with a rubber hose, but it doesn't mean that's it true. Back up your question with facts or don't ask it.

English jurist, William Blackstone, once wrote "better that ten guilty persons escape than that one innocent suffer." That statement became known in the law as the "Blackstone ratio." Liberals in America today believe strongly in that concept.

However, modern American conservatives firmly believe in what is essentially a reverse Blackstone Ratio: "better that ten innocents suffer than one guilty person escape."

That reverse Blackstone ratio is one of the guiding principles of American conservatism today, although cons will never openly admit it.

Who doesn't want to accused rapists to go to trial? The cons and neocons are guilty of many things, but this certainly isn't one of them. I suggest that if you are going to make such wild statements that you back up your questions with an example or two. Since you can't do it for this question, I would suggest that you edit your question or withdraw it.
As for Mr.Vick, I think the sentence is the right one and he deserves it.

What! Vick didn't get enough time. And any soldiers who commit crimes of that sort, should go to trial and if found guilty, should be punished.
