In the State of Massachusets you wouldn't get 23 Month if you murdered a Human Being. What a country we live in where dogs have more rights then humans.

I actually witnessed a judge give a man who confessed to raping all of his own children, time served, he spent the night in county lockup, and 5 years probation, and his youngest was not yet two years old.

This was over a decade ago, but I have heard that that kind of sentencing is still going on when helpless children rather than helpless animals are the ones being abused.

People still eat dogs, in some Asian countries, don't they? What they must think of us.

First of all, this statement is a complete LIE:

"In the State of Massachusets you wouldn't get 23 Month if you murdered a Human Being."

(Plus, Massachusetts is a Commonwealth, not a State.)

Secondly, if Michael Vick is appalled, then he's kidding himself. He had to know they were going to make an example of him.

That said, no, I don't think he got what he deserved. What he deserved was to be attacked by vicious fighting dogs.

Michael Vick will serve time in prison. But his greatest punishment is the loss of the sponsorships and his career both of which will have long lasting effects. And when the Feds are finished with him, the state of VA will get him. He's finished and he will be an untouchable for a very, very long time. A penniless untouchable at that. And THAT'S the punishment that will hurt him the most.

After what his co-defendants received I thought the 23 months for Vick was about right. Also realize that with good behavior he could be out in 12 months.
I don't buy your no jail time for murder in Mass.

If they buried him under the jail for backing, associating, or anything else concerning dog fighting that would be just fine with me. But then that's just MY opinion.

From what I've seen some think he should get no punishment. Why? Because he's black? Black, brown, white , green, purple, or any other color. The symbol fo justice is a blindfolded lady with a set of scales. Blindfolded she does not see color and the scales weigh the evidence.

The day we really stop playing color as a factor is the day is the day we start seeing real justice.

That's Massachusetts, The only thing they'll throw you in jail for is voting republican. I would have gone for the extra month for an even 2 years, but I can live with 23 months. Then, when he gets out, he can play for the NFL again. And the first time he under preforms...

I am glad he got 23 months he did a bad thing. If the state of Massachusetts cares less for human life then the state of Virginia cares for animal rights, the problem is with Massachusetts finding its citizen expendable.

The fact you live in a state where criminals rights are more important than victims rights doesn't have much to do with Mike Vick...

really ? - you can murder a man in Massachusetts and get 2 years or less ?
Wow ! that really sucks for you and all the other people in Massachusetts.

As for Vick, he got what he deserved. That used to be important to Americans.

I think his sentence was appropriate. He didn't kill just one dog. Many were killed. A person who had killed as many people as he killed dogs would be getting a death sentence. He's also giving up the majority of his financial assets as well which is really the biggest punishment. A person who could not pay the way he has would have had to do more time.
