been offered one-understand pricey `when new`-but does it have a built in burning drive?

I doubt that it had a CD burner

Well, usually the drives on laptops are removable and can be swapped for better ones, so even if it does not have one you can probably find one.
Anyways, most of the newer laptops come with DVD/CD burners to begin with. I suggest you just scan the web and look for the specs (try a site that sells them.)

No, it doesn't come with a burning drive. The pc is quite old and in my opinion, not worth it.
