Don't you think there could be more of this sort of thing if we cut and run, like so many demonrats are urging?

I was going to ask the same question. I am not muslim but my husband is and I have several that the ladies in his family have given me and some that I picked up myself while I was there. I don't know why I would think that wearing them in Jordan and not being muslim would be any different than wearing them here. I guess because there it was normal to see just about all the ladies wearing hijab and I just was one in the crowd. Here I would stand out like a sore thumb. Oh the joys of a small town! I mostly have what they call Princess Hijab (in Jordan) - the 2 piece stretchy tub like ones. I call them beginner hijab. I haven't gotten down the knack for tying the scarf yet and I'm a danger to myself with pins. I just love how I feel when I wear them. From the 1st time my sister in law showed me how to wear one it just felt comfortable and the only word I can think of is right. I usually wear them when I am at home. I also have some beautiful Jibabs that I wear all the time. I get some funny looks but most people just think I am "just a little different".

If we invade every country that has a problem with murdering its own citizens we would have to invade every country in the world. Unfortunately, that means starting with the country with the biggest murder rate in world the good ole USA. We are not in Iraq to protect people. That is the lie you were sold and you bought it. Saudi Arabia has the biggest oil reserves in the world (Bush Seniors war). Iraq has the second largest oil reserve (Bush Juniors war). Time to wake up and smell the crude oil people.

Democrats have never said to cut an run. We have said to re-deploy troops, which is a perfectly valid military maneuver.

Regardless, every nation has to work out it's own social issues. If freeing women from bondage (a practice the right endulges in religously) is a cause for going to war, then why aren't we invading Africa where they mutilate little girls for the pleasure of their future husband. Many of those little ones die from the procedure.

It was proved that U.S. troops have killed more than 350 civilians in Iraq since the war began, 86 of them women, and 30 of them children. Not terrorists, not insurgents, just women and children. Still think we should stay?

liar - liar
nice way to spin the truth.
I read your article And it didn't say anything about burkas.

yes, the women were killed for not wearing "headscarves" but that's not the same as a "burka" is it ?

how about we talk about what is happening instead of what "Might" happen.

We could go on and on about how the bush administration has failed in Iraq over and over.

Yeah.....Bad things happen in the world and we're not helping the situation at all.

Demonrats is a cute though. I bet you would do really well on that "are you smarter then a 5th grader" show.

Why is it necessary to shove our beliefs and our culture down the throats of those who don't want it? I don't like what they do but it is also NONE OF MY BUSINESS. If it ever becomes unacceptable to them THEY will do something about it. By butting ito the affairs of other nations we have gotten ourself into more than one mess in recent years. It is time we start minding our own business without being isolationist.

Until someone tries to subject my wife and daughters to wearing a burqa I couldn't care less what they do over there.

Man, they need some Iraqi police forces.... we should have worked on that from the start of the occupation.

Basically what you're advocating is creating an official Church of the US and A so we can wage legitimate religious wars.

You're not going to become a good person by demonizing Muslims or anyone, or anything, else. It doesn't work that way.

THE LEFT WILL CONTINUE TO TELL THE TRUTH ABOUT THE RIGHT AS LONG AS THE RIGHT CONTINUES TO LIE ABOUT THE LEFT.
