I'm with you, actually I read a piece on the psyche of a New England-er. It basically talked about how we are having trouble accepting success. It was very interesting. I can't find it, offhand, but I think it was a Yahoo Sports article.

Yes, it is kind of overwhelming, but I'll enjoy it while it last.
To me it is extra special; being a Bostonian, and New England Sports Fan, living in other section of the country
The Red Sox are the World Series Champions, and odds on favorite to repeat. It funny, This all my children know, The haven't suffered the heart ache so many other have. I had to wait into my late 20's to see the them win it all, my grandparents never did
The Patriots are the Greatest Team in history in NFL. They are more then likely to have a perfect season, and bring home another SuperBowl Championship
The Celtics are on fire right now, best record in NBA. It is exciting to see the return of the most storied organization in The league. that said , I wouldn't plain the parade just yet, but we do have a good shot at a 17th World Championship
The Bruins need some help or a new owner to step up to a championship level.

An NBA championship parade? Sorry, you don't get a parade for winning the Eastern Conference, and your Celtics would be about the fifth-best team in the West. I'm a Raptors fan and I know that your team is much better, but teams like the Suns, Spurs and Mavs would all beat Boston in a series.
No, these are great days to be a Boston sports fan, but the Pats aren't a guarantee. It will come down to that AFC Championship game against the Colts. I'd expect the Pats to win, but that should be a great game.

OHH like the success of Boston College, yeah I remember how the QB there was supposed to be the new lock for the Heisman until they started losing. How about the success of the New England Revolution, oh wait they LOST the Championship game to the Dynamos. Well I know the success of the Bruins is great. That's right they are just another team as well. We'll see where the Celtics are after the length of the season, just like we will see where the Bruins are. Don't think the Celtics will win 70 games or something, because some teams aren't built for the long haul. Some teams start strong and then die out while the other teams that seem weak at the start get hot and build up the end for their playoff runs.

Yeah, I guess this is a big change for you guys since people from Boston are used to being massacred (What, too soon?)
At least sports fans in NYC know how to handle success. The night the Sux win the World Series something like 34 drunken frat-tards get arrested? What a joke.
We know that success is a relatively new thing in the Boston area, but don't worry, you won't have to get used to it.

Yeah I'll give credit to Boston Sports Fan. World Series Champs, Red Sox. The Patriots are undefeated and the favorites to win the Super Bowl. And the Celtics, I'll be waiting for June when my Spurs win back to back NBA titles. Keep on dreaming, you can't win everything!

Ok. Dude I'm a boston sports fan too but let's not count our championships before they've hatched. Right now yes things look good but let's not start planing any more rolling rallays till it's time. Remember the dark years, all I have to say is "Buckner". Ok, we had everything going for us till that ball rolled through his legs. Once we hear the commentator saying "______ are the world champions" then I'll start to celebrate.

Don't act like such a pretensious d-bag. Why are Boston teams doing well? Because they're raking in big talent from elswhere. Cetlics sucked big time big time before they got Garnet and Allen. Ask someone on the street what team Garnett truly plays for---hes a Timberwolf at heart, not a f*cking celtic. Randy Moss? The Pat's wouldnt have half the wins they have now without him being both an explosive reciever, and a very successful decoy drawing away defenses. Boston sucks, boston will always suck. They have huge payrolls because Boston is full of people who suck and thus embrace their sucky teams. And if you want to find a city who is suffering, go to Miami, or really just Florida in general. Heat, Dolphins, Marlins, Devil Rays, Gators. Yeahhh

Now you see... Boston fans like you ruin it for people like me. I'm form Boston and have been through the bad times enough to enjoy our current success and take nothing for granted.
You come along and talk all cocky and make us look bad.
This guys does not speak for us... please know that people in New England are blue collar workers with a passion for our hard working teams. We support them as best we can and appreciate any success they have. This guy represents the very small population of young, dumb and ... well you know.

Hey Kiddo, Just enjoy all the fun of having so many winning teams in your area. I grew up in Western Mass....when the Red Sox very seldom even made the playoffs...And how about those Pats!!! They're doing great. I enjoy every game, even though I'm living in California. Just enjoy all the fun...it won't last forever.
