Does anyone know were to find a book of Romeo and Juliet in the modern english that we use today?

On sparknotes.com there is a section called No Fear Shakespear. This has the actual play along side translation into easier to understand up to date Englinsh.

I'll give you an answer, a curious one.
I'm not sure you're going to find a R & J in modern English. The closest thing to it will be a Cliff Notes or some such summary.
Do you speak or read French? My own French is so-so, but I find that when I read Shakes in French, it's more understandable than English. That's because the French translation uses a more modern French vocab.
A further note: Any dumbed down version of Shakes will be an INTERPRETATION and not a translation. It will eliminate ambiguities and shades of meaning. You will forfeit a contact with subtleties and with the historical period itself.

This might seem cheesy, but the way I learned (finally) what they were really saying in Romeo & Juliet was by watching the 1997 Baz Luhrman movie version with Claire Danes. Seriously. If you have the book with you, and pause between scenes to look at the corresponding passage in the book, it totally works!

You can go to the library or even to Boarders & ask for it there im pretty sure they are going to have it.
