A noble idea, but ultimately hopeless. It wouldn't last 30 minutes. When it comes to music, people can be Very passionate...even if some are misguided.
Seriosuly, the only way it'll truly end is if /when they break up & the mcr hype goes away. (& you KNOW Gerard'll eventually wanna go solo)

hmmm. Well I would have to hear it from the "my famous last words r abt mcr" guy who says that "everyone who does not like mcr should die" that is just not right. And the emo people here would not want a truce and neither woul dthe die hard mcr fans so I would have to think very much about it but right now i am saying no. And i agree with you calling us mcr haters hatemongers that will not solve anything and I also agree with Jake Wears Prada, you can insult my favorite bands and i'll insult yours without caring it is not a big deal, mcr sucks and us true music fans know that, we don't need a second opinion from any of you emo people

The solution is easy; stop posting questions about MCR, and there will be no more fued. When one posts a question, the poster is ultimately accepting the fact that ANY answers, positive or negative, may be posted. As mentioned above, this is a First Admendment issue. This is like when a defense attorney or prosecuter opts to put any witness on the stand in a trial; that witness is then left venerable to cross-examination which almost always results negatively.

I like MCR. I like CCR. I love MC5. I honestly thought that 3 cheers was an awesome album, in fact I've often said that it was the best whole album I've bought since Ixnay on the Hombre by Offspring.
I make fun of MCR fans, not cuz I hate em but cuz I'm 26, I've been a rock fan for 15+ years, and I feel like MCR fans are my little brothers and sisters. Most of the animosity is towards poseurs who like them cuz their friends do, or cuz 'Gerard's soooooo hot!!!'
Honestly, I've been there too with bands like Nirvana, and people gave me $hit for "followin a trend" when I was just discoverin myself musically.
Relax, some people are @$$wholes, but honestly it's a coming of age, you need old fuddyduddies to give you $hit cuz if you can put up with it and stick with your bands (I still love Nirvana) you learn a little about yourself. I'm not just blowin smoke, I don't mean any real diss to you or them. It's just light hearted poking to me. Mad love.
Fonzie's (below) right. People do get very passionate about music. When I was in HS I once threatened to beat the f*ck out of a guy who said tool was a better band than AC/DC. Don't know why, but at the time it made sense. Face it if you love music, you will eventually meet others who agree with your passion, but not your favorites. And I'd still probably kick anyone's @$$ who was silly enough to think that tool is better than AC/DC. LONG LIVE BON!!!!

Welcome to the world, it's full of ignorance.
Every band has a group of bashers.
Every band has a group of fans.
The two will always clash. When a person says a negative comment about a band you like, ignore them. They're just trying to start fights cause they want the attention and it makes them feel superior. Ignore them!
You love your band for a reason, and no one can take that away from you.

yey! i think we should leave all this MCR stuff for a bit. the constant 'who hates MCR?/who loves MCR?' questions bug me a bit,and i'm a huge fan. it's just unnecessary. fair enough, you want to know people's favourite MCR song, or what a lyric means, but there's no need for the love/hate stuff that gets asked every day.

First off, there really isn't any feud going on in my eyes. What you and the rest of emo nation fail to realize is that we have a little something in America that we call FREEDOM OF SPEECH. Much in the same I have to endure countless numbers of mindless, insipid questions regarding MCR, Gerard Way, and their pretentious boy-pop rock, you will have to accept that there are actually people in this world who aren't drinking the Kool-Aid and know what good music is. I've listed my reasons for disliking this band and feel they're 100% valid. Again, I've said this before but if you choose to martyr yourself for a band that couldn't care less about you, then you need to grow thicker skin. The opinions aren't just going to end.

Lol.. Everyone has their opinion.
If you disagree, just write what you think.. or just ignore it..
They obviously want your attention..
Either give em the attention, or just ignore em..
For everyone person that will like you, there will be 10 that will hate..
Have a nice day ; )
