The first thing that goes through my mind is, oh no! Someones in an accident and the hospital is calling! Or worse, someone in the family has passed away! Most of the time though its somebody calling a wrong number...AHHH! Is this something we can all relate too?

I am tempted to turn it off for peace. When I am awoken I have great difficulty going back to sleep, if at all.

Not so good an idea, though! My nephew was run off the road and sustained a broken tibia. My sister tried to reach my brother who lived in her town and his phone was turned off. She felt so alone not being able to make contact.

Catch 22!

I thought I was just paranoid! I feel better now knowing I'm not the only one who feels that way.

I don't understand how people can just let a phone ring, especially during "off" hours. That's the time people tend to get messages they don't want to hear! I GLADLY take wrong numbers at those times! Whew!

It makes my heart stop and I jump up to answer the phone!!!

However, I would rather it be a wrong number than something wrong!!!

I have done that before, actually there were 3 different rotating shifts. Did it for more than a year. It can be tough, but it can be done.
