You know, with 80-90% + laying money on the Patriots at home vs. the lowly, hapless Jets (for revenge too, at that).. that the NFL will be wringing its hands, to try and make the Jets cover the same-way the pathetic Eagles & Ravens were made to cover 20+ spreads (or maybe even win?)... Imagine the drama of the "NY" team, breaking this streak across Red Sox Nation...

So far, the line is Jets +24 1/2... and PS - it doesn't "move" as people think, when betting is lopsided, the outcome simply and by magic.. seems to go the Other Way... and I haven't bet a game in over 10-years.. (after seeing the NY Giants give away 9-pts and lose a playoff game to the woeful Vikings, in the last 2 minutes). I've seen too much of this, and predicted the set-up of the Pats blowing-out the Steelers last weekend. And the Lions over the Cowboys, easily... on and on.

My point is -- that the Patriots SHOULD WIN this game by 40 points.. but, as the NFL does.. something magical happens, exactly like the Eagles game (where the announcers start up-talking the 'Eagles defensive-schemes' and how AJ Feeley starts throwing like Joe Montana... magically until he tosses a interception to a wide-open Patriots DB (the INT leader in '06, who you KNEW wouldn't drop the ball) to ensure the cover, but the Loss. The Eagles layed down, late - and the Ravens were beaten more by the NFL, refs (and their Coaches) for that Pats winner. Forget the THREE 5-down sets of downs the Pats had in that last minute... that TD wasn't even caught in bounds.. but, that's OK.. it's the Patriots and the NFL is selling them this season, in a BIG WAY.

I don't think the Patriots will have trouble beating the spread, even if it's 25 points. They're at home against the team who ratted them out for their "cheating," and you know Belichick is going to want to absolutely destroy them.

If you really think the Jets have a chance of winning, I'd have to say you're crazy.

Well, I wouldn't be on a huge point spread. Because for the teams not going into play-offs a game against the Patriots is a game their superbowl.
That's why the Raven and Eagles did as well as they did. These teams have nothing to lose except stopping the Patriots from going undefeated. Plus, most undefeated teams face the defeat to teams that's had at least 6 losses.

The Eagles and Ravens had some talent to work with to give the Patriots a run.....

The Jets just don't.....

Wouldn't bet a dime on this one....

I want to know if you can bet on whether or not Belichick and Mangini will shake hands after the game. I say, NOT.
