I often get ingrown hairs, ya know...down there. I get them no matter if I shave or not. Currently I havent shaved in a couple of weeks and have 3 or 4.( I know that they are ingrown hairs because I have visited a doctor many times.)I also know that heat helps them go away....but baths are not my thing. Any other ideas on how to heal them? Would icy hot work?Help...its annoying.

I have never had a problem with ingrown hairs, but I have also been told that heat helps. If you do not have a heating pad, try wetting a wash cloth and put it in the microwave until it gets warm or hot and use that as a heating pad. Place the heating pad on the affected area, do this 3 times a day for a few days and wear cotton panties that are not tight. This should help.

Yeah it helps if you take baths and get a wash cloth all hot and steamy (not too hot of course) and lay it over your area and let it sit there while you soak, this helps aviod those ingrown hair from starting exspecially if you do this before and after shaving, and if you want to shave they have anti-bump shaving gels made just for the bikini zone, they are normally kept in the beauty and cosmetics ailes of most department stores like target. But the more you shave and the more you do this the less often you get the bumps. After about six months of doing this I no longer get those bumps when I shave.

Honestly, taking a few hot baths wont kill you. Icy Hot is for strained and sore muscles, not skin problems. Deal with the baths, would you rather take a few of those or have those ingrown hairs?

Don't try the icy hot, you can hurt your vagina if you get some in there. Well I don't know if you do this but try using shaving cream everytime you shave. and instead of hot baths try using a warm cloth for a couple of minutes during the day!

DO NOT I repeat DO NOT put icy hot on your gentalia!!!!!!!! That would be awful. But if you don't like taking baths, how about a heating pad, or maybe wet a towel with hot water and use as a compress? Good luck, but DO NOT use icy hot....

No icy hot down there! OUCH! Your local pharmacy can tell you the best things to try, but you should treat yourself to a hot bath every once in a while.

Try NOT shaving and use a rough terry-cloth wash cloth to release them from under the skin. And..what's wrong with a nice hot bath, anyway??

Heat works because it tends to open the pores and therefore relieves the pressure. You could try a hot compress or heating pad at night.
