I don't care for Oprah either. But Senator Obama not only has experience in elected state and federal offices, he teaches Constitutional Law at Harvard. Not a position that a relative got for him, he earned it.
I get sick of the thinly veiled racism about his lack of experience. None of the past 5 presidents had any elected experience at the federal level when the first entered the Executive Branch, but he does. Hillary's Federal experience consists of being so out of touch with her husband while he was in the Oval Office that she didn't know he was having an affair with a minor staffer.
Senator Obama's biggest political fault is that he refuses to make wild promises that he knows he can't keep just to get votes. Aside from the unforgivable sin of being of racially mixed background.
He is far and away the best person currently running.

I'm for Barack Obama and my reasons why are private. You must make up your own mind. Read, listen and most of think. Don't let anyone influence you. If you have a brain and are of average intelligence Oprah's opinion will be unimportant. Stop watching 5 second news blurbs on TV and start reading about the candidtes, their plans and positions on issues. Then you can make an educated decision on who to vote for.

No, much of what he advocates conflicts with his actual voting record. He spoke out against the Patriot Act then voted in favor of reauthorizing it, he cannot commit to withdrawing the troops out of Iraq by 2013, possibly later.. He hasn't ruled out using strikes against Iran, not to mention the same vote he criticizes Hillary for, he missed himself and sponsored the exact same legislation designating the IRG a terrorist organization in back in April.. He implied that he would invade Pakistan, without the consent of their government.. He made votes making it more difficult for average citizens to sue big corporations.. He has no consistency on the issues of social security and taxes, in the very beginning he was for raising the cap, then having all options on the table, then appointing a bipartisan commission, now he's back to raising the cap.. He receives contributions from lobbyists, corporations and interest groups, despite his denials..He promises "change" but he has neither the substance, the experience, nor desire to deliver this change.

No. I don't agree with his policies and also thinks he lacks experience... Ron Paul has more experience than any other candidate and 20 years of voting records that confirm his platform. There is nothing fishy about that! He voted against the war from the start and will get our soldiers out of Iraq! Ron Paul 2008!

No, I am not for Barack Obama. He doesn't support the Constitution like he needs to and that is why my vote is going to Ron Paul instead. Ron Paul has the voting record to prove that he truly supports the Constitution and knows what the Constitution is really all about. That is what I am looking for in a candidate and that is why I am not voting for Barack Obama.

I happen to think Obama is running for this TOO SOON. I have no confidence that he is the man we need now, but I have come to support Hillary Clinton after seeing her in debates.
About Oprah, I agree, what she is doing is turning it into a circus - the presidency is a serious matter, not a product to endorse or sell.

No, he has no plans to leave Iraq, and has talked about invading Iran, he voted to renew the "patriot act" and the only reason he didn't vote for the war is because he (conveniently)wasn't a senator at the time.
