Happy isn't the right word. The bottom line is Vick threw his career out the window by being stupid. His loss in all of this means nothing. His 'prison' time will be 'uncomfortable' for him, at worst. He'll get out in 18 months -start spring training somewhere and resume where he left off. All you'll hear about is 'he served his time - he was punished, etc.,...' bla bla bla and life will go on. This story is over. The only ones who look down on Vick are the fans and 'maybe' ownership - it'll pass - he'll be QB somewhere - probably pretty cheap in 2 years.

It is a sad commentary why would anyone be happy. The man was practically destroyed. Did he get a fair sentence? Yes. However, he came to realize just how much he screwed up and now he has a long time to thing about 'what if.' The man has been beaten down enough without anyone being happy with the outcome.

I think he should have gotten a lot more. Just because he's a celebrity, he gets a little time in the cell. But if a regular person did that, he'd been in prison for years. Judges are always lenient on celebrities.

in spite of the undeniable fact that what Burress did became stupid, and he did no longer harm all people purchase himself, all people forgets that taking photos himself became no longer truthfully the crime. Burress had an unregistered hand gun interior the state of ny, that's a legal punishable by way of (in lots of cases) 3 years in reformatory. He in elementary terms have been given it right down to 2 years because of the fact he accepted the plea good purchase from the prosecutors, in the main because of the fact they wanted to set and occasion that, no remember who you're, there is not any getting around this regulation interior the state of long island. I do agree, inspite of the undeniable fact that, that Vick's sentence became way too short. This, as became Dante Stallworth's reformatory sentence (in elementary terms 24 days in penitentiary!) became in simple terms yet another occasion of a action picture star with countless money that incredibly bought his way out of extra reformatory time.

I'm ecstatic. But Michael Vick has nothing to do with it.

Not at all 5 is the max and that is what he should have been sentenced to. He Probably wont even do half of his 23 months. I also hope that the nfl wont let that POS play again.

No. How much is it gonna cost to host, board, room him as a prisoner in the system? That money could be used to fund someone in college. Let Vick pay someone's tutition. Heck in prison now he's gonna be fed 3 xs a day, medical care if needed.
Here we got kids struggling to make it through college.

It could have been worse. He didn't get much more than the guys who flipped on him. I don't feel sorry for him a bit. This will knock him off the gigantic high horse he was perched upon.
