Symbolism in Young Goodman Brown By Nathaniel Hawthorne?

You may already have this one, but to me the most notable symbol is the pink ribbons on Faith's cap--a mixture of white for purity and scarlet for sin. And of course her name itself is symbolic, as is most obvious when Goodman Brown, seeing a pink ribbon float down from the cloud that passes over his head, exclaims, "My Faith is gone!"
