I do agree. I really would like to see something unify the country since division probably does cause problems in fixing the problems we have. It does no good to ignore half of the population of the country when they have an opinion about how to fix a problem that affects them. Majority rule is the way of things in democracy but, nationalism can cloud the judgment of the majority and I think it has now. In any case though, the majority should try to compromise unless the alternative is doomed to failure. I'd think if it was there would be a consensus.

Needless to say, you are right. I'm tired of "republicans are evil" and "democrats are cry babies". 2nd grade politics is getting old.
