"The manner in which the Americans relate to the intelligence report on Iran is similar to the way in which they viewed those reports they received during the Holocaust on railways transporting hundreds of thousands of Jews to their death at Auschwitz," Minister Yitzhak Cohen of Shas said during a security cabinet meeting Sunday morning on the Iranian nuclear issue.

First of all, to compare Iran's muscle flexing with the attrocities at Auschwitz is senseless. Secondly, why is this America's problem?
If Israel has a problem with Iran, shouldn't they handle it, since both countries are in the same hemisphere? Why not ask the European Union to help out? Or Russia or China?
Why the US? Don't we already support Israel enough? Otherwise what is the $3 billion in aid per year for? Another Starbucks in Jerusalem?

I guess my point is, why doesn't Israel do more on trying to open up dialogue with ME nations?
After all the perception remains, that they are the invaders in the region.
So why not have an annual peace conference in Jerusalem sponsered by Israel with all other ME nations invited?
And if nobody else shows up, so be it. At least Israel can take the high road and say to the rest of the world "we're trying." Instead of constantly looking at the US to be their big brother protectors.
That is something that as a taxpayer who helps fund Israel, that I would definitely support my money being spent on.
