I have to pay 5% deductibles every time I'm going to the doctor.
They charged my insurance $29 for a prego test and the insurance now wants me to pay part of it.
I never asked them to take this test.

At most dr visits they do a pregnancy test to make sure that if you are pregnant they don't do anything or give you medications that will affect the fetus. There are some women that go in for a routine visit and find out that they are pregnant. It is just a precautionary measure.

I was under the impression they couldn't run a pregnancy test without your knowledge. I know I have never been given a test without my permission. Call the office it could just be a clerical error. Unless you had a procedure done and they wanted to be sure you weren't pregnant and you signed the paper not knowing it.

Did you take a pregnancy test?

If so, did they say it was a pregnancy test? Did they say WHY they wanted the pregnancy test? Did you get birth control during that visit?

We need a lot more information regarding your visit.

OK- you don't remember peeing in the cup or you just didn't think to ask what for?

This seems like a normal test for an obgyn to give- however usually they discuss it with you before hand.

They normally won't do the test unless you ask them to or if you admitted to having unprotected sex and not using birth control.
