I dont know if its called a 2-way mirror. But im asking about the mirror that appears to be a mirror on one side, but on the other side its like a window that can be seen through. I hope someone understand me. But i heard of an article in spanish that said how you could detect it. But, it was hard for me to understand. If anyone can help with an article or website or info....please let me know!!!! Thanks a ton!!!!!

Stand close to the mirror and look directly at it. If you are lucky, you may be able to see some movement behind it, or some object that is not a reflection. If you don't see anything, put your face up to the mirror and shade it with your hands next to your eyes. This will usually enable you to see that there is something on the other side, though it may not be clear.
If not, you can still notice that the mirror is a little darker than a regular mirror. If somebody turns on a light in the room behind the mirror, you will see clearly into the room. It only works as a mirror if the room behind it is dark.
These mirrors are generally pretty big, like a whole window, not like a little mirror. There is a room behind it and there may be chairs there. I have never seen a smaller one.
These are used in hospital settings to allow observers to watch without being seen, usually with the permission of everybody concerned.
I have also seen this kind of mirror in a store, where it keeps you from seeing into a little office; there is generally a door near it for people to go in and out.

if you want to detect a 2-way mirror, put your fingernail on the mirror. if there's a gap between your nail and the reflection it's a real mirror. If there isn't a gap it's a 2-way mirror
