When I use to live in East L.A. there was this factory that made tostadas, I swear every time you passed through it felt like your throat would close up; that smell was so penetrating it haunts me still today

I better tell a story here...When I was 18, I was working at a Public Works Transportation Center on the island of Guam. There was a scrap yard behind the building. Some of the junk had been there since World War II. One day, two guys decided they were going to salvage a valve from an old water tank. They put a wrench to it and turned. They snapped the flange right off the tank...and this 30 year old water came gushing out. The building immediately evacuated. Nobody within 200 yards could see or breath. I cannot describe what it was like; metal, mildew, iodine...MAN!...I can smell that smell still today.

If used latex is the WORST thing you've smelled, I've got a used hole around back you need to be introduced to. I love the smell of wet plastic cups.
