Sorry I didn't extend my questions....... I meant even though you delete the history... is there a way of still finding out which sites viewed and how? let me know please! I'm completely innocent

Yes. Regardless of if you remove the history or not Microsoft have a full history hidden on your computer. However, If you do remove the history it is quite hard to access the hidden files and you need to use MS-DOS to do so. If you remove all cookies, history and visited URL's only advanced users who know exactly what their looking for will find out.

Yes there are several areas where traces of what you have viewed are stored. Including cookies, cache, web logs, history logs, registry are to name just a few. Also firewalls and other programs may log and monitor anything that you view. Even if you delete them from the computer they can still be resorted and viewed using specialist software.

Some internet security programs keep a log, especially if you have parental controls on. Vista has them built in and you can access them if the parental controls are turned on through the user management console.
