go look for a tree farm or a nursery in your phonebook.

Any home and garden store or nursery will have evergreens that you can plant in your yard. They probably won't have much of a selection until spring though. Fall is usually the best time to plant, but spring is doable if you water well over the summer.

Go to a place that is selling them right now and ask them if they will hold one for you after the 25th.
There are many places that are selling x-mas trees with the ball so that you can plant them.
You may not get a discount, but you can ask.

A plant nursery. You are better off buying a sapling, grown trees can go into shock when moved and they can die. Sometimes months later. Also I wouldn't plant a tree until spring, depending on your climate. Plus full grown trees are really expensive to buy and transport.

first of all do you have the right climate? if you do, plant some 'seeds'. it takes a while to grow, but if you're patient its pretty cool. if you just want one in your living area, get a small 'fake' tree. they're not as pretty, but it's basically the same context, and after it's decorated, it still looks good.

We bought one at Home depot. We have a limited amount of space too, and we didn't want the dogs peeing on the tree, so we put it up on a table, we will plant it after the holidays.

I believe it's called a nursery, it's where you buy plants, trees, shrubs, flowers and the like.
