If it is an adult cleaning it, I would suggest the same thing that they clean swimming pools with. It is called muriatic acid. You can purchase it from a grocery store , or Home Depot. It has a very strong chemical smell, so you want to do it quickly and then get out of the room and let it air out. Just pour some (carefully) into the toilet and then use a brush (while wearing gloves - just in case), scrub for a few seconds, and it will be good as new. Very strong smell though... Just hold your breath. It is worth it. Works great.

Try "Tang" drink mix. You'd be surprised at how well it will work. Just sprinkle a bit in, and on the stains... let sit for about 2 mins, and scrub off with the toilet brush.... flush and your done.

Also works in the dishwasher for hard water stains. Just make sure that you don't actually wash any dishes when you use the Tang, because it can ruin plastics when mixed with the high heat in the dishwasher.

Put denture cleaning tablets in the tank, 4, and let them do their thing. Flush several times and scrub under the rim as it is flushing. The stains are coming from build up in the tank. Once you have flushed several times, then use your normal cleaning routine. Use the tablets about once a month, more if you notice the stains sooner, and you can also drop 2 into the bowl to clean it. (Don't laugh, it really works!)

You can by a Pumas stick perhaps at walmart , put gloves on and scrub it over the marks you want to remove. it really does work and it wont scratch the toilet bowl.

A 2 liter bottle of Coke will do it. Let it sit overnight, then scrub with a brush and flush. Should look brand new again!

I agree with scubagirl. I had a roomate who never cleaned his bathroom. So when he left I was stuck cleaning it. I got some SOS pads and a pair of gloves and the toilet look brand new when I was done. SOS pads work GREAT!

I might add to the vinegar+baking soda make a paste. Let it soak in and scrub. Though to disinfect after using the baking soda and vinegar. Bleach+water. Never mix bleach with anything but water.

I've lived in alot of places that weren't the cleanest. I've found that CLR and SOS pads work the best. But unfortunately, you need to get your hands dirty and scrub the bowl by hand. Wear gloves.

Go to WalMart and buy a product called "The Works."

Trust me :-)

No scrubbing, no SOS pads, nothing. This product is amazing! And very inexpensive.
