I tend to write these (or did write these) script/short story-stories. It goes paragraph, then dialouge, paragraph then dialouge. Some might call it a script but I don't think it really is. This why I like to call it and a script/short story. It's kind of in between. Their usually about 20 something pages long.

Now is this something publisher would take would take?

Okay, you're talking about 5000 words, more or less, which is a typical short story. That is, if they have been written in manuscript format (double-spaced with one to one and a half inch margins all around).

There is nothing unusual about a paragraph or two of narrative followed by dialogue. In truth, that is pretty standard for stories of any kind. Unusual would be all narrative or all dialogue, both of which are difficult to pull off with any success.

If they are well-written, in a genre that suits other material that publisher releases, fit a particular publisher's requirements, and are formatted properly...sure, they will accept them. Short stories are normally included in magazines or in books known as anthologies.

Your question is too general to give you any helpful advice or an answer that would be meaningful, however. Try providing a little more information and we'll see what can be done.

Have you thought of taking some courses to improve your writing style ? My sister took some workshops on writing stories and she felt it helped her.You also have the opportunity to have an impartial person critique your work.Never give up on your dreams.Don't let a detour make you stop your journey.Take care.

Twenty pages is too short for a book and too long for a magazine article. Search for a literary website and they may be interested.
