i posted the other day about my daughter having her first cold... while we are dealing with it the best we can i have come accross something new. I had to suction her nose out yesterday just because it was too much for her, she was having a hard time breathing and drinkin a bottle... when i did it, i notice a small amount of blood in with it.... that was it for yesterday... now this morning i just did it again for her, and again more blood.... is this normal, or should i be concerned.... other than her nose, her cold is getting better, her eyes are not running anymore, no cough, nothing.

This is perfectly normal. Sometimes the delicate little blood-vessels burst and you get a little blood along with everything else. My son always gets a little of this, even now he's 5!

Yes it is completely normal. Sometimes the nose can get irritated either from the secretion or the suction . If it is little bit. Also you can get bloody nose from the dryness inside. If you are giving her something to decongest. I would advise you to buy some of those normal saline drops for the nose. Drop a few drops into her little nose and then suction it out. Specially before feeding. She will not like it but it will help her allot. Good luck

Infants sinus tissue is extremely sensitive, theyre also under developed until theyre nearly 3 years old.

When you suction it out you're causing irritation that ruptures the small capillaries in the sinus tissue resulting in blood.

Just like when you get a bad cold and blow your nose a lot you will also have blood in it.

Its totally normal, just take it easy with the aspirator, use saline solution with it so you're not causing harm to the tissue. Squirt a little in, and then suck it all back out, it will help to break up and flush out the infected mucus.

Take her to the vet !! Blood in urine is not normal. A feamle dog does not come into season at 3 months old. Small dogs can start at 5 months and larger dogs at 6 months. Then there after every 6-8 months. Take her and have her spayed.

Put on a humidifier in her room. My nose gets bloody in the winter too. It is because the inside dries out and then gets agitated from sneezing/blowing. A humidifier will moisten the air and then her nose. Also, make sure you are spraying her nostrils with saline spray (they make baby versions). That will help a lot too!

you might have ruptured a small membrane in the suctioning of the nose, not a big deal in my opinion. Unless it bleeds uncontrollably and you can't get it to stop then I would worry.
