of course not, did the godfather movies create organized crime? did j edgar hoover's most wanted serials and the newspapers create the violence that led to the gang wars in the thirties? video games are just a convienient target for liberals who want to do whatever they can to make sure that violence isn't dealt with where it belongs: strictly with the people who comitt it. columbine happened because those kids had serious medical problems and were victims of constant bullying. but they got hold of guns so they used columbine to scream for gun control which we all know does so much to stop crime. millions of kids watch the WWF is that program resposible for kids' behavior? what about that kid that killed his sister copying a wrestling move?? did anyone lobby for that show to be canceled??gangs have been around killing people long before video games came along. if kids are getting their inspiration from the media it's because theire idiots and the blame lies with the parents for not disciplining.

Nope.

I play many video games. Some of them are quite violent. And I've never had any anger issues.

I think the only problem is when people who are menally unwell play video games. They have a difficult time distinguishing fantasy from reality. But they would likely end up having a problem, even without video games. (There's still violent movies, books, etc. We shouldn't censor or restrict things just because a small percentage of the population is disturbed by them.)

There has been recent speculation that people who choose to play " violent video games" already have violent tendencies. It makes sense when you consider that happy people tend to do things that make them happy, loving people do things that promote love, etc.

So, to answer your question I'd have to say no.

Absolutely not. I'm a 30 year old woman with a professional career and I love Grand Theft Auto, which is very violent. I've never harmed a fly. (I let my boyfriend do that for me.)

Not at all. Cop out. I think greed leads to violent people. Greed is all around us in the USA. It teaches people to rob and steal. It tells parents to work longer instead of spending time with our children.

no. there is no relation.

this is a pathetic excuse to use for teens who become "violent." their parents are the only people to blame.

ever since kids stopped being spanked for mis-behaving, look how many started shooting up schools and such. you dont beg and plea with your child to behave. you make them. period.

all of us who got spankings are still alive, and most of us dont go around shooting people, yes, even those of us who enjoy violent video games.
