Yes.

He also didn't recall the Iran nuke details from the NIE either.

So was he purposely ignorant, meaning that when Hayden came in to explain the issue to him, Bush covered his ears and shouted "LA LA LA LA" or does he truly "not recall".

Somehow I think he is covering his ears. Bush is the President afterall, and should have first hand knowledge of any potential scandal against his Admin.

I can thing of only one other president that had tapes erased and didin't know about it. i have to say this Bill O'reilly mentioned to a caller the other day that releasing the tapes would not expose anyone, so if he wa not defening the pres, it must be that he is telling the truth. For the low donw i suggest you watch Lou Dobbs, he has no problem getting on the Congress or Pres if need be. Then again youmay want to check out Understanding the Time by DR.. William Grady, it's about 1,000 pages and 2,000 endnotes and you will agree with much and disagree, but he has the research done for you. This is just volume one. Covers the birth of the nation up to and past the Kraq war..

ON another note, do you think W listens to the song "I got the power" before he does exercise and goes and specakds before the cameras? Take care.

The shame is interior the everyday public's attractiveness and allowance of this "i do no longer keep in mind" excuse. Leaders will attempt to flee with all forms of issues, yet will proceed to flee with them as long as they're accepted to. it could appear as if a small subject...yet once you initiate tallying the small issues, the photograph is vast and gruesome. And if the yank public stands via and accepts those solutions, then they easily get the management they deserve!

Hayden said he didn't tell Bush, had no reason to. How do you expect him to recall something he was never told? Is he supposed to be psychic now? Facts must really hurt you guys.

We need to cut the presidency back to 7 years. It seems every president forgets everything in the last year.

But that would also stop the never ending last year Mideast Peace initiative

He learned from the master, Fredo, AKA, Alberto Gonzalez, then again I can't recall. Where's Reagan when you need him, at least his faulty memory was from the beginning stages of Alzheimer's, or was it.

First-off , it should say 'afflicting' , not 'inflicting' .

The bottom-line on this issue is that we already know that the terrorist was water-boarded . So haveing a tape to prove it is meaningless . It doesn't add anything to the issue . The government admitted that he was water-boarded . So what more could come of this. . . . other than identifying our agents to us and Al Quada , and becoming bulletin-board material for recruiting new Satanic minions of Al Quada .

It's a dead and meaningless issue .

He is given so much more data than the ordinary person that it is not unusual for him to not recall some of it. It is part of being President. You will find this among most high achieving persons who are inundated with data.

all politicians say that when either they don't want to comment on what's being asked... or they don't want to take a stance on an issue without having all the facts they want to have before taking a position.. either way, it's not a conspiracy.. it's not him being stupid.. it's not him being evil.. it's not him being a liar.. just him being a politician.. not condoning it, just explaining it..
