I don't buy Christmas gifts but I use a credit card to buy most things I need, I seldom use cash nowadays.

Used my Debit Card -- just like spending cash -- without the DANGER of having lots of cash in my purse/hand. (Used to use my checks/cash before these came out ... can remember the uncomfortable feeling when I would pull out a lot of money to pay for Christmas Gifts -- don't want to be a TARGET for thieves).
