My senile great-grandmother made a Christmas cake for all of us as a gift. As if that wasn't bad enough, we cut it...and out ran tons of ANTS!

Where I live companies usually give a Christmas present to their employees. When I was a teenager I had been working for a particular company for months (it was my first job ever) and was curious about getting my first company present. On Christmas my boss showed up and gave MY MOM a present. I got nothing, although it was me who worked there. I thought this was weird and quite rude and I was very disappointed. That was worse than getting a crappy gift. Not that I didn't want my mother to have it, it was a box of chocolate that I would have shared with the family anyway, but the fact that they ignored me as if I didn't exist and thanked my mother for the cooperation was quite insulting. Nice to know I was appreciated!

The (soon to be ex) disappeared, came back -- broke into where I was at .. and destroyed ALL the Christmas Presents that I had already for the children .. then ... I got served with the Petition for Divorce (after he damaged my auto too and stole a silver framed photo from my office of me/the children) ... as my 'Christmas Present' (and ... most importantly -- I was living with NOTHING in my accounts, because he already had emptied MY personal accounts BEFORE serving me with Divorce Petition)

My mother in law is the worst gift giver in the world, I'm sure of it. We are talking haircolor and tampons.
