first of all plants provide us with oxygen ,and help lower CO2 levels,then they supply us with..food,chemicals,dyes,medicines,material for making clothing and rope etc..then we use them for building material,,in houses etc,burn them for fuel..coal,peat wood ,aesthetic value..nice colourful flowers etc.As for animals..food ,pets,clothing..leather and wool..milk..chemicals etc..whale oil.glue from bones,transport..horses,oxen,working animals ..sheep dogs etc

They help us many things. For examples plants mainly supply oxygen to human beings during photosynthesis. They take carbondyoxide and releases oxygen only during photosynthesis. In respiration they take oxygen like us and releases carbodioxide.
Another help is providing plants for medicine. In preparing various medicines we use leaves and many other parts of tress. Mainly we use the leaves in making medicines. Specially medicines which are used to apply on the skin are prepared using plants.
Also for timber requiriments we use plants.
For food items we use plants.

When taking animals, the diversity of animals helps for the existence of the all the things in the world.
For meat we use animals and also when making clothese out of wool we use animal skin.

I expect you'll get many answers to this one, so I'll ask you to consider this instead: how can human beings help plants and animals?

All we seem to do is treat them like something that is for our taking, with little regard for their long term existence... When we harvest / hunt one to extinction, we just move on to the next...

The most obvious answer is, we eat them.

Plants give us oxygen to breathe. The herbivores prune plants making them grow to be more productive in many examples. Animals eat dead plants and their waste products make nutrients more available to growing plants which may provide us with fuel, food or oxygen.
