lv 65 BM Hunter
If I do not have any of the Beast Stalker armor yet, is the the Beast Master armor worth the effort that would be needed to obtain the entire set? It looks as if you could get similiar items from quest or at the AH but I may be wrong. Do you think this would be good end ganme gear?

Yes it is. Theres specific craftable leather armor you should be able to buy or create, tbh I dont really know I've never played a hunter. but the dungeon gear (I believe thats what it is) is the best gear for you for starting out in karazhan and then in karazhan you'll get better gear etc.
Obviously best way to get pvp gear is well.. do pvp! Season 1 set is now available on the normal vendor for normal honor points!

The best end game gear is, of course, Tier 6 (some say Arena gear, but I disagree). Depends on what you want to do end game. If you're not in a raiding guild and don't PvP hardcore, it doesn't matter what you wear really.
